Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as the Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. In that role she will cover everything from NASA and the newly created Space Force, to commercial space firms and the emergence in space travel. Being the child of 2 NASA astronauts, Kristin has a background in the space industry and was a part of the space industry for five years, covering the Trump and Biden Space policies of the administration as a White House Correspondent for FOX News. While covering the impeachment trials of two presidents, 2020's Presidential Campaign, and the two administrations' attempts to limit the outbreak of coronavirus, Kristin covered a lot of other subjects. She traveled extensively with both the Vice President and the President included a trip exclusive to Afghanistan, which she took along with Donald Trump. Kristin was a TV local reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., in which she was awarded an Emmy Award for her work as the "one-man-band" reporter prior to being hired by CBS in 2015. Using her skills in front of the camera Kristin founded Field Mouse Films in 2014. The company was a specialist in documentary style films for corporate clients, such as Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism at Boston University. The place she lives is Washington, D.C., with her family, including their daughter, who is three years old.
