Anushka Singh is an Bollywood actress. She has received numerous acting prizes and is considered to be one of the most well-paid actors. Anushka Sharma was the daughter of Kumar Sharma (retd.) and Ashima Sharma. She was born in Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh on May 1, 1988. Anushka was the daughter of an officer who had retired. Her mother is the household worker. The elder brother of Anushka Karnesh Sharma was a member of the Merchant Navy and now is an actor. Anushka graduated from Army School in Bangalore, after which she pursued a bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) at Mount Carmel College. Anushka has a doctorate in studies in economics. Anushka had always wanted to become journalist or model, and never an actor. Anushka made the move to Mumbai after completed her graduation and enrolled herself at the Elite Model Management, and was groomed by fashion consultant Prasad Bidapa. Anushka began modelling in 2017 at Wendell Rodricks Les Vamps Show. She was also selected to represent the collection Spring Summer 2007 by Rodricks. Anushka Sharma has been a part in a variety of brand-related campaigns after her Lakme Fashion Week debut. These include campaigns with Fiat Palio and Fiat Whisper Nathella Jewelry. Anushka Sharma along with her modeling profession, enrolled in an acting academy and began giving auditions to films. Anushka made her debut as an actor in the year 2008 on Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi with Shah Rukh Khan. To prepare herself for the screen-test, Anushka Sharma took all day. In the following days, she was cast in three films for Yash Raj Films. She portrayed a bride who was young and tied to a man of middle age (the character Shah Rukh Khan was portraying). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. In 2010, Anushka Sharma was in the movie 'Badmash Company with Shahid Kapoor, Vir Das and Meiyang Chang. The film was met with mixed praise. That same year Anushka Sharma appeared in the film "Band Baaja Baaraat' with Ranveer Singh, in which she played the role of a middle-class Punjabi girl who launches her own wedding-planning business. The film was an unexpected success and was praised by the critics. Anushka has completed her 3-film contract with Yash Raj Films after Band Baaja Baaraat.
